From Our
President
It feels so surreal to introduce myself to you all as the 2023 Alpha Chi President for the Psi Chapter at The University of Oklahoma. The opportunity to lead and represent the most inspiring and hard-working group of women that I have ever known is one that I will cherish for the rest of my life. My hope is that every girl has the chance to be surrounded by a community that pushes them to be the best version of themselves and allows them to feel seen- because it is truly the best feeling in the world.
The group of women in this chapter has inspired me in more ways than I can count. They have allowed me to see the world through a different set of eyes and push myself to be the best version of myself. Watching each of them shine not only in this chapter but all over campus in leadership positions is something that makes my heart shine and is simply the best feeling! In Alpha Chi, we share the values of what it means to be a Real Strong Woman through our campus, our philanthropy, our academics, and our sisterhood. Our values are Wisdom, Devotion, Achievement, and Commitment and this group of women naturally radiates all of these things. I am so honored to be a part of this special bond.
Coming into college is one of the biggest turning points in your life- whether you’re coming from in-state, out-of-state, big town, or small. It is never easy, and change is inevitable. You may be moving from the house you have lived in for 18 years and leaving loved ones that you spend 24/7 with, anxious about living on your own, worried about juggling classes and exams, or simply nervous about the unknown that college will surely bring. Although these stresses are ones we all feel and are human nature, I can assure you that OU will bring you people to confide in and share the most amazing memories with. Before you know it, you will have so many amazing friendships and memories to last a lifetime!
